The quilt panel entitled In Honor was made by a group of teachers, both current and retired, from Central Islip High School located in Central Islip, Long Island, New York. It was our intention to honor those people whose lives were taken so tragically on 9/11 and whose spirit lives on. As we worked on the panel, we were constantly reminded of our freedoms and the everlasting importance of education for all people.
